We are excited to introduce GSV’s Workforce Insights Board, an expert group dedicated to exploring the future of digital learning and workforce skilling. This distinguished group of learning and people leaders will explore how emerging technologies can support a more agile, connected workforce and what this means for companies as they adapt their L&D strategies. Board members include leading Chief Learning Officers, Chief People Officers, and industry experts who are shaping the conversation on how to rethink learning and skill development as a means to achieve business and career outcomes.

At a time when employees are more distributed globally and digital skills are advancing rapidly, workforce learning solutions are more critical than ever to a company’s future success. Companies are recognizing that people are their ultimate competitive edge as technology becomes more accessible and pervasive. As organizations increase their focus on employee development and engagement, they’re looking for ways to retain workers and improve employee productivity to drive business performance. In this environment, digital learning providers that can deliver a measurable return on investment will be well-positioned for success. The Workforce Insights Board and GSV Ventures are uniquely positioned to be the link between entrepreneurs who are innovating in this space and corporate leaders who are looking to leverage these solutions.

A Memorable First: GSV kicked off the first Board gathering with a Workforce Learning Innovation Dinner

Last month, the GSV Workforce Insights Board held its very first meeting in-person in San Francisco. Following the inaugural board meeting, GSV hosted a Workforce Learning Innovation Dinner in partnership with Chegg Skills to bring together the broader workforce community. The special evening featured keynote speaker Jenny Dearborn, a renowned Chief Learning and People Officer (HP, Sun Microsystems/Oracle, SuccessFactors, Klaviyo and SAP), who shared her insights on the latest trends impacting workforce learning.

The Board will plan to meet on a quarterly basis and will play a critical role in crafting the programming around the ASU+GSV Summit, which will convene all of the key stakeholders across workforce learning, including learning and people leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and more.
